Ronald Raymond has over twenty years experience in the financial services industry. He enjoys working with family offices, individuals, and various institutions in helping them discover new avenues for alternative investing.
Ron began his career in alternative investing working with David Tepper’s Appaloosa Management in 1997. In 1999, he then moved to March Partners, LLC / Langdon Street Capital, as Head of Operations for the $160MM AUM arbitrage hedge fund.
Then as Vice President at Arnhold and S. Bleichroeder, Ron supported operations for a $15+ billion asset manager that included the First Eagle Funds. He implemented PAM (Princeton Asset Management) accounting software system, re-engineered procedures for all groups (accounting / performance / reconciliation, PM reporting), and supported accounting and execution platforms for the firm.
In 2004, Ron moved to Fiduciary Trust Company – Franklin Templeton International where he managed a 10 person global technology team. There he built his own team in Hyderabad, India and transitioned over 20 downside applications to the trust business.
Continuing in his finance career, Ron in 2007, joined Dreman Value Management as the Head of Operations and Advisor accounts. Ron’s experience expanded to Vermillion Asset Management from 2008 – 2013 as Director or Operations. In 2014, Ron moved to Blueshift Capital for three years as COO / CCO. While at Blueshift, Ron more than doubled the AUM by launching three SMA Accounts that ran pari passu to the main fund. Most recently, in 2016 Ron worked with smaller funds at Archimedes Capital, Taaffeite Capital, and T24 Capital, where he also served as their COO / CCO.
Throughout his career, Ron worked in varying asset management roles but finds a true calling in finding alternative investments that make sense for clients and helping them achieve their goals. Ron has a gift for analyzing and synthesizing, investment strategies and then communicating them to others in a way that is engaging, enjoyable, and opens the door for more understanding and even better questions. He thinks both systematically and practically and provides real value to his customers.
Ron enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters. His hobbies include riding motorcycles, bike riding, and coaching softball.
